Meet the Photographer
Hey, my name is
Jay Ramirez
I am a Toronto-based freelance photographer with a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. My journey started 8 years ago when I turned my love for taking photos on my phone into something more—by picking up my first camera and diving deep into the art of photography.
From volunteering at school events to eventually being hired as staff, I gained invaluable experience and developed my ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Over time, I expanded my craft and began photographing weddings, birthdays, baptisms, engagements, concerts—and many more—each with the same goal: to preserve the raw, beautiful emotions of every moment.
In addition to on-location shoots, I also offer sessions in my spacious and comfortable home studio, complete with a cozy lounge area—perfect for portraits, creative shoots, or simply relaxing between takes.
On Duty and On the Road
Beyond photography, I’m also an ICU Nurse. And when I’m not behind the lens or at the hospital, I’m often out driving and always looking for new places to explore and fresh perspectives to capture. Hitting the road with my camera allows me to see the world differently and tell stories through the lens—whether it’s a quiet landscape, a vibrant street scene, or a hidden gem off the beaten path.
Below are some of the photos I took during my trips.
The pandemic slowed the world down, but not my passion. I used that time to grow, reflect, and sharpen my skills. Last year, 2024, I returned to photography with renewed purpose, eager to once again help people celebrate and remember the milestones that matter most.
By day, I’m a full-time Intensive Care Unit Nurse, committed to saving lives. By heart, I’m a storyteller with a camera—dedicated to helping you save the memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Let’s capture something unforgettable together!
